Glasgow-born Darius is a platinum-selling recording artist, songwriter and actor. He studied English literature and philosophy at Edinburgh University and rose to fame on the hit British television show Pop Idol. His first self-penned single, ‘Colourblind’, entered the UK chart at Number 1 and his debut album went platinum under the guidance of Grammy Award-winning producer Steve Lillywhite. Darius has had five UK Top 10 singles, supported Shakira on her world tour, wrote the Number 6 Sunday Times bestselling book Sink or Swim, and is an Ambassador for the Princes Trust.

Theatre includes: In 2006 he ended a second successful West End run as the youngest actor ever to play Billy Flynn in Chicago (Adelphi). He starred as Sky Masterson in Michael Grandage’s Olivier Award-winning production of Guys and Dolls in 2007. Darius’s professional stage career began playing a ten-year-old Trojan boy in the Scottish Opera’s production of The Trojans, and he toured as a teenager in their critically acclaimed production of Carmen, performing at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.
