SwingNolan Frederick

Training: Nolan was born in London and educated in Trinidad, Tobago and New York. He trained at the Actors Studio and with Alvin Ailey and Martha Graham, New York.

Theatre includes: for the National Theatre, Oslo, The Merry Widow, La Cage aux Folles, Anything Goes, Pal Joey, Hair, West Side Story and Jazz’ll Dazzle, a musical written for him, performed in Norway and Sweden.

In the West End: Cats, Miss Saigon, Starlight Express, Rent, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (RSC), Kiss Me, Kate, The Lion King and Porgy and Bess (directed by Trevor Nunn, Savoy). Also, My One and Only (Chichester Festival), Five Guys Named Moe (tour), Robinson Crusoe (Richmond and Edinburgh King’s), Just One World (Cochrane), Puss in Boots (Oxford Playhouse), How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and The Government Inspector (Chichester Festival), Show Boat (Royal Albert Hall) and workshops for Desperately Seeking Susan, We Will Rock You, The Mass Carib (Greenwich), King Cotton (Manchester and Liverpool) and La Cage aux Folles (Menier Chocolate Factory). Also, the gala concert tribute to Sir Cameron Mackintosh Hey, Mr Producer! (Lyceum) and Peter Pan (directed by Julia Mackenzie, RFH).
